FALL TRAIN SHOW, 2024

Our recent Halloween themed Open House was another grand event that was complimented by our sponsors from the Lionel Collectors Club of America and the Crockett Community Foundation. We experienced good attendance, and one item of special interest was the new Lionel Halloween Triplex Steam Engine. It was the showcase for both days as it chuffed and smoked around the layout showing the delightful consist of various Halloween cars. The treat of the two-day event was watching the young participants running trains. Their individual facial expressions were priceless to view. The adjacent pictures show it all while the decorations enhanced the Halloween spirit. It proved to be another fun event and a special thanks to the CTTOM volunteers for their support in setting up for the event and being there to assist with all our visitors.

CTTOM Members at the Sacramento Train Show. Train shows have become more of a social and very important marketing event. We met with lots of patrons and connected with vendors. Sales of our excess equipment was ok and our more valued items are going to the Harris Auction. We had a barrel of fun and there are certainly a lot of great toy train deals. The event was well attended and filled two large rooms. A special thanks to those who helped at the table (pictured) and other CTTOM members in attendance (Lou MacM. included). Below is Mark B. using a hook provided by Cliff and demonstrating to Dave P. how we get customers to the table. Also attending were Juaquin M. and Bob M.
