CTTOM Spring Open House Success

A huge thank you to all members who participated and all visitors who came to see the trains!

Our spring event was truly unbelievable as we had 680 visitors over the two-day event. Youngsters were running trains, even with the regional power blackout on Sunday, as we had converted some trains to run on battery power. Thomas the Tank remains every popular and the more senior folks enjoyed the recent release of the Lionel Strasburg Railroad Wood Sided Passenger cars. Keeping in the spirit of the upcoming July 4th, the Santa Fe GS-4 “4449” was rolling with a consist of the Lionel Presidential cars. Our animated accessories were also a big hit with play from the young attendees. LCCA comes through again by helping with gifts and member participation. This was our most successful LCCA Special Event.

Photos from the event can be seen on the Visual Tour page.

We look forward to our next two open houses later this year. Put the dates on  your calendars, they are listed below.
